The Hen-House got it right from the start with a bespoke website from INDIGO

The Hen House approached INDIGO Concept early in the development of their new company and it has been a huge pleasure for us to see the business take off so successfully.  We built their website from the ground-up to work perfectly on any device (known as Responsive design) and have created a bespoke ordering system that enables the visitors to this top quality children's soft play venue to book online.  On top of that we came up with a unique party planner capability enabling parents of young children to design, build and book their child's birthday party in 5 minutes.  Now that is cracking idea!

When we were first approached by Hen (from The Hen-House) we were impressed with her vision for the new business and her understanding that getting it right from the start was very important.  With that in mind we set about coming up with ideas that would really set her business apart from the rest…we came up with the bespoke party planner.

For this project we designed, coded and built an online party planner that takes the time, stress and effort out of planning a party for your child.  With The Hen-House online party planner the visitor to the site can design a party to suit their requirements and budget, then provisionally book it with an online deposit payment.  It really is a very simple process, taking no more than 5 minutes, and judging by the numbers of visitors who have already planned their child’s party is a rip-roaring success!

SEO Success straight out of the starting gates

Most new websites struggle to get immediate success in their search engine rankings.  Google and others use a number of methods to determine the authority of the website and then base its rankings on that authority.  A brand new domain has no authority.  Well with The Hen-House we beat the odds!  One week after the website went live we had the following rankings for the client’s chosen key phrases.

  • #1 for “haslemere soft play”
  • #1 for “soft play in haslemere”
  • #2 for “children’s party venue haslemere”

Pretty outstanding for a brand-new site, but it is a testament to the work we did for this client both in using the SEO best practices when coding the site as well as helping our client in the production of their content for the website.  Now it’s time to do something about that #2…..
